Sharon Strimling

Sharon Strimling is a business, leadership, and health coach with a rich background of working both in our local community and abroad. She has called the Island her home for several decades and has made many contributions to our residential, ecological and business communities. From opening one of the Island’s first and largest therapeutically oriented massage therapy centers in the 90s to the complete revitalization of Edgartown’s historic Shiretown Inn and Restaurant in 2004; from helping to envision the Island’s co-housing to serving on Vineyard Power’s advisory board and the Island Plan; and from opening an alternative energy business in Vineyard Haven to developing her current international coaching practice, Sharon’s service and entrepreneurial history have been as diverse as they’ve been enriching. Sharon has presented at Henley Business School in London, and runs international retreats and programs for individuals, global companies, nonprofits and start-ups.

Sharon holds a special interest in empowering young adults to both see what they’re made of -- which is always more than they think -- and discover what they can contribute to this world in a way that feeds their souls, enhances their resilience, and ultimately develops their leadership for a more conscious world. She’s also a yoga teacher and an avid dancer who finds delight, both in herself and in her clients, to usher them into that new world. Her motto, born of rigorous life challenges is “We’re made for this life!” - a message she feels is particularly relevant at this time for young people, and well, all people - everywhere.
