Marine Careers Internship
Are you curious about a career in the marine industry? Does working on boats and being out on the water pique your interest? Are you mechanically inclined?
Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard is looking for a marine careers intern to join their team! This program will provide the intern an opportunity to participate in a variety of marine-related operations throughout the duration of the internship. Fom spending time out on the water and participating in the shipyard ground operations, to getting a close look at marine mechanics, this program will expose the intern to the wide array of marine career opportunities available at the Shipyard. The intern will be on a rotating schedule between the Shipyard’s different departments.
Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard is a full service, year-round boat yard that has served the Cape and Islands for over 175 years. They offer a wide range of services, including servicing all sail and powerboats, from the small dinghy to 20-ton yachts.

Hours: 8-16 hours a week | depending on candidate’s experience level
Duration: 10-12 weeks

The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and have an interest in pursuing a career in the marine industry.
Compensation
$16-20/hour depending on the candidate’s level of experience. For the right candidate, this internship could lead to a full-time position with the possibility for training opportunities.

CAMP! Internship Program
BootCAMP!
CAMP! interns are required to participate in BootCAMP–a weekend of in-person professional development workshops and an orientation. Topics include leadership development, basics of financial wellness, workplace etiquette, etc. Upon completion, interns will receive a certificate of completion and a stipend. Exemptions may be permitted under exceptional circumstances.
When: Saturday, June 22 + Sunday, June 23, 2024
Location: In-person at Slough Farm in Edgartown, MA.

Mandatory check-ins
CAMP! interns are required to participate in three check-ins with the CAMP! program coordinator throughout the duration of the internship. This includes an initial meeting at the beginning of the internship program, a mid-way check-in, and an exit interview. During check-ins, interns will reflect on their personal and professional goals and accomplishments relating to their internship experience.
